Introduction

Dear colleagues,

We're alreay publishing the second BelSECT-newsletter of this year.
The functions in the BelSECT board are getting filled in: some more info about this subject in this newsletter.
Furthermore, some information about the International Consortium on Evidenced-Based Perfusion.
As usual, we also give an overview of some relevant articles about perfusion.

International Consortium on Evidenced-Based Perfusion

The first week of october 2006, AmSECT organised Best Practices in Perfusion.
Since then, they decided to start an international consortium on evidence-based perfusion, in order to get more global perfusionist participation.
BelSECT also received an invitation to participate in this consortium.
In the second half of this year, there will be the first meeting and there will be a BelSECT-board member present to evaluate if participation of BelSECT is necessary, because EBCP is already represented..
